The Social, Meaningful, Involvement, Leadership Experiences (SMILE) programme emphasizes the importance of community service and encourages students to take a more active role in shaping how they use their time and talents to help others. SMILE allows students to become involved in meaningful community events during school hours such as Christmas gift drives, tree planting, and The Great Canadian Shoreline Clean Up.
Students give back to the community through student-led events to raise awareness and understanding about other charities that are important to them. This has included the Oakville Humane Society, Credit Valley Hospital, Juvenile Diabetes and the Children’s Aid Society.
